Roquette : A breakthrough in the world of natural polymers.
At present the paper industry owes it to itself to cut costs while at the same maintaining or improving the quality of the paper.
The polymers resulting from our developments enable optimisation of the functionalities required in the paper-making process as illustrated by the following theme:
- Improvement of surface properties and optimisation of energy costs
- improvement of tissue paper properties and of the productivity
- Optimisation of the sizing function with a new emulsion medium for ASA
- Lower binder costs thanks to partial replacement of styrene-butadiene latex in the top and pre-coat formulations.
During the next ATIP Bordeaux 2008 Congress which will be held from 21 to 23 October 2008, the Roquette group will run two theme workshops; the first one will be on Wednesday, 22 October from 2 – 4 p.m. on ASA and the mechanical properties and the second, on Thursday, 23 October from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the topic of natural sizing binders with a starch base, for pre-coating and top coating.
The Roquette group will also be present at the round table on Thursday, 23 October 2008 on the topic of ‘Raw materials and Energy’.
